An interesting way of putting change in technology in perspective. I wish we could put our politics in perspective too - like how did we get so alienated as a nation? I am sincerely looking for answers.
The extremes took control on each side, with the middle ground steadily shrinking. Making compromise and efforts to find consensus and accommodation increasingly more challenging. Easier to shake a fist than find a solution and seal it with a hand shake. All of the above, I realize, is a bit simplistic and cliched, but the best I can offer as a thumbnail response.
